Gannett Design Studio, Nashville (November 2014-present)
» Lead a team of 60-plus designers and editors responsible for producing 12 daily Southeastern newspapers as well as dozens of nondaily products, glossy magazines and special sections
» Oversee branding implementations, overhauls and redesigns
» Establish best practices for design standards and studio workflow, and distribute documentation and hold training sessions
» Curate weekly newsletter containing information of interest to studio employees, as well as a gallery of top pages and descriptions of why they rose to the top
» Collaborate with high-level editors on daily design as well as issues of overall production efficiency
» Maintain the studio’s social media presence, which has steadily grown followers and acts as a recruitment tool
» Manage a crew of team leaders and help them clear obstacles so their designers can be successful

» Supervised 10 designers who worked with Nashville; Hattiesburg, Miss.; Jackson, Miss.; and Staunton, Va.
» Collaborated and communicated with editors to plan for daily production and enterprise projects
» Mentored and trained designers on CCI NewsGate as well as the news design production process
» Brainstormed ideas, offered feedback and suggestions for improved pages to designers
