E-commerce: Custom nonprofit merch shop

The National Health Care for the Homeless Council is the premier national organization working at the nexus of homelessness and health care. Since 1986, the Council has brought together passionate providers, researchers, and advocates to provide training and technical assistance to health centers to help them provide equitable, high-quality health care for all, regardless of housing status. The organization has a dedicated, engaged community that believes strongly in a shared vision that housing is health care.

The Council team decided to soft launch an online print-on-demand merch shop at their annual conference in May 2025, so I set about conceptualizing and designing nearly 40 products and building out and optimized the product listings. I then designed printed and digital signage for the online pop-up, and the team on site at the conference set up a small booth of sample products for people to see and touch before ordering online. With barely any marketing at all, the online shop received almost 100 orders in the first five days of being open!
